TinyEYE: Connecting Special Education Directors with SLPs

If you're walking down the right path and you're willing to keep walking, eventually you'll make progress.
- Barack Obama

Hi Everyone,

When I started learning about communities that were struggling with providing speech and language services to its children, it was clear that the world needed a cost effective way to connect SLPs with schools. When geography, cost, and workload barriers are eliminated, children finally receive a fair shake at receiving well deserved support. I believe so strongly in my profession, speech-language pathology. I know what our regular presence can do for schools and its precious children. Have you ever taken a moment to ponder what our ongoing absence does?

Fast forward to fully integrated software that enables SLPs to provide on-line therapy, consultation, supervision, and home programming. All children can have access to outstanding therapy services. Today (four years since we started building this dream), a District Vice-Principal for Special Education emailed us her feedback about the on-line services that our team has been providing to her schools. The district has been trying to recruit SLPs for three years with no applicants. Today is the day I want to share with you - the day it all came together for the life of a child:

"I observed a session yesterday with (SLP) and was very impressed with what I saw and the SLPA & school is very happy with the kids' progress. It is great to be providing a service to our kids after so long. Thanks"
- District Vice-Principal for Special Education

"I was talking with (District Vice-Principal for Special Education ) and we are both impressed how every student gets to see the SLP once a week - there isn't any other way one SLP could pull off that kind of service. It's incredible!"
-School's program assistant
