To My Teacher
In kindergarten...
You smiled at me everyday. Two months later, I felt brave enough to talk in class. I pulled you aside and whispered, "I love you".
In elementary school...
It was picture day. I cried. I was wearing a Fruit of the Loom turtleneck and big fuzzy ribbons in my hair. You bent down, held my hand, and told me how my heart shone so brightly that I was always beautiful.
In high school...
I couldn't figure it out. Softly, you learned a new way to teach me. I excelled.
In university...
I was lost. You were my constant beacon of light. I soon found my way.
In grad school...
I was ready. You saw me for what I was to become...more than I was that day...more than I would dream for myself.
Now it is my turn to tell you...

You are amazing
You are more than you would ever dream for yourself
Your legacy reaches beyond one student, one classroom, one school, one country....your legacy has impacted children all over this world. You have changed the world.
