Schools Suffering From Lack of Speech Therapists

Hi Everyone,

I found a recent article (Jan. 2008) regarding how the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) shortage is effecting the school system. The interesting part of this story is that the need for Bi-Lingual SLPs is very high because in some areas, therapy must be done in the native language of the student.

A startling fact: In 2006, the Arizona Department of Education found there were 159 SLP jobs left vacant!!
