What Does Obama's Health Care Reform Mean for Speech Therapy?

Posted by TinyEYE

Like many of you, we were watching President Obama's speech at the celebration of signing the health care reform bill. It really is a new day for the U.S.A. All the while, we were wondering what that means for Speech-Language Pathologists.

  • Will there be more budget at Hospitals to hire more SLPs?
  • Will it mean more people will have access to SLP services?
  • What will this mean for schools?

We'd love to hear your opinions and thoughts about the impact of this historical day. Please use the comment field below! There is information available from ASHA at http://www.asha.org/advocacy/federal/HealthCareReform2009.htm
